Based on the children’s books by P.L. Travers and the 1964 film starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke, Mary Poppins the Broadway Musical takes us once more to the Banks home at Number 17 Cherry Tree Lane where trouble is brewing. The mischievous children have sent another nanny scurrying out the door and a new one is required right away. The mysterious Mary Poppins suddenly arrives to accept the job and take the children on a series of newly imagined magical adventures accompanied by the chimney sweep, Bert.

The Runnels production features a live band conducted by Jill Swetnam, with choreograpahy by Rachel Harper-Hart and vocal direction by Aaron Turnipseed. Junior Camille Doucet is the stage manager and Jenna Carballo as assistant stage manager. Students will design the sets and the technical theater classes will run the show.
