Curriculum
Runnels High School provides educational programs of the highest quality, designed to ensure that each student is ready to face the intellectual demands and social responsibilities of today’s world. The academic program, which is college preparatory, encourages intellectual growth and curiosity, as well as the exploration and expression of ideas. Students attending Runnels High School receive quality instruction in small class settings from an experienced and caring faculty. At Runnels, we believe that education takes place as the result of a cooperative effort among students, school, and family.
We believe in the importance of the individual and the value of a personal approach to education. At Runnels, we are dedicated to the emotional, intellectual, social, and physical growth of each student.

Enrollment
In addition to a completed application, all applicants must submit the necessary letters of reference and academic records. Applicants must also present themselves for a personal interview with the principal and/or faculty admissions committee. Acceptances will be determined on the basis of the school's admission policies, evaluation of standardized test scores, past achievement and conduct record, personal interview, and vacancies that exist.

Average A.C.T. scores of Runnels seniors (past five years): 24 – 25, each year approximately 3 points above national average, 4 points above state average.
