Runnels for 2008-2009 Runnels Theater for Performing Arts      You are invited to browse this website to learn about Runnels, and to call for further information and possibly to schedule a preliminary visit to campus.      These visits occur with great frequency throughout the year, but should be scheduled through the appropriate office (see phone numbers below).      The very first days of classes and the few days just before the start of school may not be convenient for school personnel for preliminary visits.       At this time we are accepting applications for pre-school and grades K-12. To begin the actual application process, print out the appropriate Initial Application Form (Preschool, for Preschool, K-1, for Kindergarten and grade 1, Elementary for grades 2-6, Junior High for grades 7 and 8, and High School for grades 9 - 12). Fill out the application completely and deliver the recommendation forms (required for grades 2-12) to your references. The completed application may either be mailed to Runnels School P. O. Box 40444 Baton Rouge, LA 70835 or delivered to 17255 S. Harrell's Ferry Rd. The date of receipt of the application is one factor, but only one of several factors, affecting final admission. The application itself is only an application - it carries no obligation for either party.      You will be contacted by the school to schedule the next steps in the application process -- testing of the applicant and interview with parent and student. You will be so contacted only if available places remain and admission seems likely. A $50 testing/application fee will be assessed when you report to school for the interview/testing. (Do not include any money with the Initial Application.) In some cases, copies of the results of recent standardized tests, together with other academic records, may be accepted in lieu of additional testing.      If you are notified that your student is accepted for enrollment, the actual enrollment in Runnels is accomplished when you complete the Annual Enrollment Agreement (contract) and make payment for fees and the year's tuition. For an initial enrollment prior to January 1, the only option for the payment of tuition is payment in full of the year's tuition, as well as the initial fees. There will be other options (monthly, semiannual) in future years for re-enrollment - or after January 1, for initial enrollments, if openings are still available.      Thank you for your interest.
