Runnels offers classes in photography.

Photography students annually participate in a community juried art show held at the Arts Council of Baton Rouge.

The art program, which begins at the preschool level and contiunues through high school, includes both studio art and art appreciation.

From finger painting to papier mache, and from photography to sculpting, Runnels students have opportunities to study and create a wide variety of art.

At almost any time, student art can be found on display at local libraries.

Each spring, the school-wide juried art show is held. At this annual event, student artwork is selected to be displayed in the foyer gallery of the Runnels Theater for the Performing Arts.
