Media Arts Students Design Promotional Materials for High School Play
Students in Nicole Latiolais' Media Arts II and III classes recently took on the role of graphic designers in an advertising agency. Each was tasked with creating promotional materials for our theatre’s upcoming production of Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None.
Provided with a brief about the show and a list of design parameters, each student designed a t-shirt, poster and program cover. Theatre teacher and play director Sonya Blanchard and the assistant director, Madisan Milam, grade 11, were assigned the role of client and selected one of the t-shirt designs to be printed for the cast. From the six unique designs, sophomore Drew Burbank’s was chosen. The other contributing designers are Kade Damon, Natalie Fairley, Marshall Pentes, Connor Porthouse and Ian Shaneyfelt.
The students used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create their designs. The poster designs will be used as promotional materials for the show and displayed throughout the main campus and in the foyer of the Theatre.
And Then There Were None will run Oct. 25 and 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gladys Hague Runnels Theatre. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students. At the door, tickets are $12. Tickets will be available for online purchase soon.
