Heads Up on HOCO 2020

Get ready to celebrate HOCO (Homecoming) 2020 at Runnels! The fun starts Monday, Jan. 27 with Spirit Week’s “Marvel Monday” and a junior and senior high pep rally in the gym. The rest of the Spirit Week agenda includes “Tik Tok Tuesday,” “Wacky Wednesday,” “Throwback Thursday,” and “Fairy Tale Friday.”
Rounding out Spirit Week activities are the presentation of the homecoming court and a varsity basketball game against Mt. Hermon on Friday, Jan. 31 and a high school dance at the Lake House on Saturday, Feb. 1. This year’s theme, Enchanted Evening, is sure to lend a fairy tale flair to this sparkling array of events.
The high school student body voted for the 2020 HOCO court on Jan. 8. Congratulations to our maids and escorts! They include freshmen Emma Collett, Lucy Reeves, Eli Latiolais and Baron Stevenson; sophomores Blaiklee Guillot, Hailey Lester, Josh Freeman and Joel Pena; juniors Brooke Sandefur, Mollybeth Wilkinson, Evan Beoubay, and Jacob Folse; and seniors Catherine Bonaventure, Jenna Carballo, Anna Manning, Grace Smith, Brandon Hall, Ben Holliday, Ryan Ly, and Eli Todaro.
The HOCO 20 t-shirts and dance poster were designed by sophomore Drew Burbank.
