Here’s the Rundown on HOCO 2020

It’s time to move your Raider Spirit into high gear for HOCO 2020 at Runnels! You won’t want to miss any of the memory-making events lined up for this fabulous celebration.
The fun starts Monday, Jan. 27 as Spirit Week gets underway! The themes are Marvel Monday, TikTok Tuesday, Wacky Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, and Fairy Tale Friday. Homecoming treats will be provided Monday by the PAR to students in grades K-6 at recess and to students in grades 7-12 at 11:50 a.m in the Plaza area. Monday also features the homecoming pep rally in the Catalano Gym at 2:10 p.m.
On Friday, Jan. 31 at 2:10 in the Gladys Hague Runnels Theatre, we’ll roll out the HOCO 2020 court and announce the names of our king and queen. Earlier this month, the high school student body elected maids and escorts. Congratulations to freshmen Emma Collett, Lucy Reeves, Eli Latiolais and Baron Stevenson; sophomores Blaiklee Guillot, Hailey Lester, Josh Freeman and Joel Pena; juniors Brooke Sandefur, Mollybeth Wilkinson, Evan Beoubay, and Jacob Folse; and seniors Catherine Bonaventure, Jenna Carballo, Anna Manning, Grace Smith, Brandon Hall, Ben Holliday, Ryan Ly, and Eli Todaro.
On Friday night, the Raiders meet Mt. Hermon on the basketball court in our gym at 7:00 p.m. with an encore presentation of the homecoming court at halftime.
Concluding the week’s festivities on Saturday, Feb. 1 is the high school’s “Enchanted Evening” homecoming dance at the Lake House starting at 7:00 p.m.
We sincerely thank the sophomore class and sponsors Sarah Haase and Laurin Fairley for hosting HOCO 2020 and sophomore Drew Burbank for designing the t-shirts and poster.
